Somewhere in GOA.

A steep narrow track by the side of sweet water lake begins where the Sandy land of beach ends and Stony mountain begins. As i started  to track, the sound of waves splashing heavy volumes of water on stones turned into melodies sung by crickets and other insects. The trail takes you into the dense, dark and distracting forest. From the beach where I were able to stare at horizon and stretch my vision as far as I can, from that open and wide scenery i walked into a place where i felt blind and vision less with eyes open. I hardly blinked. I check counted my breath, my heartbeat is not normal, it is as fast as slow it was on the beach, the thing that didn't stop was the track and my steps. I continue following my friend @dontdieonmebub
The reflection of the colourful headboards of bars and bistros was visible on surface of lake water from the woods and leaves, as I looked above at the sky, the half moon was grouped hundreds of stars spreading moonlight onto me and my friends I have ever seen in my life. Not only me, and my friends, not only the trees, branches and leaves around us, the whole forest was dipped and set back into the light silver night.
We continued to climb and left the lake behind, after a couple of minutes we were accompanied by the sound of fresh water source that came from somewhere up at the hill and dissolved in the lake after travelling down the ridge.
We finally reached the place where we planned to take halt, it was hardly 20 square feet but a nature made camp base, perfect for bonfire, camping and meditation. we decided to turn off our mobile flash lights, for a while it was darker than how I have seen dark with closed eyes, the sound of matchstick rubbing the igniter and the sound of explosion of the match stick top  were clear to hear, and as one of us inhaled the herbal necessity, the tip of joint was red lit now.
the smoke worked as the fragrance in the forest, the lit joint shared among us was like a red flying Firefly who sat on the lips of every Traveller in the dark. the place was so dense that I was only able to see the half of half moon. For these five minutes without listening music, without seeing any light, without touching anything, without breathing the usual air, I and my lungs just tasted the herb that is common among not so common smokers of these days. I was n dark, with half of the half moon, with humans or I would say aliens if this planet who are now my brothers, there were only few and good things around me, I was at the best place I have been so far. I was somewhere in GOA.

Birds of Madhya Pradesh

We all want to fly, but we hardly ever think about those who can.
"BIRDS” – a creation of nature that proves despite your size, you can always stay above all and measure the sky. Madhya Pradesh is famous for its forest and wildlife, and so is the Gwalior city. As places like Cancer hills, vivekanand hills, badagaon, bhadawana,  tigra and devko makes it rich in flora and fauna.
There are more than 50 species of birds including Greay babbler, Indian myna, red wattled lapwing and indian silverbill. Its very common to notice such small and lovely birds of different types on morning walks and evening walks in any park of gwalior. Even in monsoon season different type of soil living species such as snails, earthworms and slugs appear everywhere around.

Gwalior is also very much diverse for trees and plants, as mushroom to banyan, peepal to eucalyptus trees has covered the major land area.
But at the same time cutting down trees and deforestation because of real  estate industry remains an unconcerned issue in Gwalior. Construction and building industries are being castrotopic for Gwalior and playing a major part in downgrading tge ecosystem.
A single tree is home for 100 of birds, cutting down trees does not only decrease oxygen rate in local environment  but makes a countless birds homeless.

The only option that remains with birds is to fly and migrate to another far flung places where human race will take years to come.

Kamakshi Maheshwari - A environmentalist says, " I have seen in last 25 years a shift in the pattern of existence of migratory birds and also in the native birds. deforestation is leading to less of greenery, lack of lakes and Ponds, over construction of infrastructure all around has taken the place of birds. irony is the more smarter we are becoming the more weaker our Ecology is getting. Ecological imbalance is taking the shape of development which is making migratory birds not to come and natives to migrate to other states.

Anshuman Tripathi - A bird photographer says, "gadget Revolution has restricted knowledge about Birds to games and apps only but  in Indian culture feeding birds & animals had a hidden motive ofearning about them. he adds in monsoon Central Indian birds like brown headed barbet, Golden orioel, spotted owlet and jacobin Cuckoo are more likely to spot in Gwalior. the state bird of MP Asian Paradise flycatcher also flies to MP from southern part of Peninsular for passage migration and can be spotted in Gwalior."
Being a human we hold the responsibility and ability to listen and communicate with every other species of the planet.
Pollution, increasing no. of Co2 and harmful mobile signals have already killed a big no. of birds and have bought a lot of other species almost at the verge of extinction.
And now deforestation is doing the rest. Even after this blasphemy there are still people alive who hunt birds for the sake of their fun. Its hard for them to accept the fact that gone are the days when hunting was a ritual more than just a game. It is unethical in present scenerio to kill a already extinct species just for showcasing courage and hunting skills.

Nature enthusiast Mrs. Ami Prabal Jain Says ". Likewise other urban settlements common urban birds are found everywhere in Gwalior , like Blue Rock Pigeon, House crow, Laughing Dove and Brahminy Starlings  etc. in the areas  where greenery is sufficient  like thatipur area and other outskirts, we find many other birds, Indian Robin, Indian Chat, Oriental Magpie Robin, Asian Koel, etc. these are the resident birds, we find regularly. In different seasons of the year  many migratory birds come like  verditer flycatcher, red munia, scaly breasted munia, oriental  white eye etc.

Its hard for us to imagine a city without birds.
Its even harder to never listen to the mmelodious chirping of birds in our verandah that never felt noisy. try to imagine a sunset without homecoming of birds, a tree without a nest ?

Birds are the best mood enhancers of any city, they are the real explorers of city.
It asks for nothing to be a little caring towards the flying creatures.
we must  start living our life like humans  and being sensitive towards every creature living on planet earth.

Ayurveda: The rise of Heritage

Topic: Ayurveda: Ancient Indian Healthcare System.
"Human life is not merely to be alive, but to be Well".
In India, our ancestors discovered the secrets of being well and joyful thousands a decades ago.
We did not only learn about our body and brain, we were able and accessible to understand the meaning and responsibilities of Being Human on mother Earth. Renew the concept of fulfilling our liabilities towards the life of us, and lives of other creatures as well. Yoga and Ayurveda are the jewels of our heritage and we have managed really well to conserve them.
To grow in this economicaly competitive world Ayurveda had to change its packaging into the shape of FMCG products and medicines, but the basic concept of finding a cure to a disease from Herbs and flowers remained the same. While addressing the national Ayurveda Summit 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi insisted on application of better technology and highlighted how branding and Packaging of Ayurvedic medicines would increase their demand across the globe and thereby increasing our exports. He further suggested to digitalise the ancient manuscript.
Many initiatives by the government towards Ayurveda are commandable and influential as well. Setting up the ministry of Ayush in 2014, approving the establishment of "AIIA" All India Institute of Ayurveda, which is conceived as Apex institute offering education at MD and PhD level in Ayurveda, Celebrating National Ayurveda day on Dhanteras every year are the few steps taken to raise awareness and promote the Indian Medical Heritage. In 2015 Jan aushadhi Yojana was introduced to provide medicines on low price by opening 3000 Jan aushadhi Kendra, this policy of government is praiseworthy and profitable.
The market worth 20 million dollar is already in operation in country and is expected to grow up to 5 trillion dollars in 2050 with 16% CAGR. Tu Meet domestic and international demand many industries are manufacturing a Mammoth number of products based on principles of Ayurveda and Standards set by government. Infian of the recent events on promotion of Ayurveda in Agra Mr Anand chhaparwal, managing director of Dindayal aushadhi said, "Being in ethnopharmacological industry means to promote ancient Heritage and bringing people back to the roots of using medicine. In today's market Parivartan is the necessary element for any business. He extended the word Parivartan in terms of business methodology like profitability, assured services, regulation, increasing productivity, been vigilant, use of alternative resources, time management and networking."
There are enormous possibilities in Ayurveda all we need is to have faith in our rich heritage. Even the foreigners from across the globe are visiting India for a Wellness tourism and learning meditation. Us department of health wants to find possibilities of curing cancer with the help of Ayurveda. The magic of Ayurveda is that 20 students from New York were enrolled for a crash course in Ayurveda in Kochi.
Mr Om Prakash, vice president of Dindayal aushadhi said " it's better to improve than to change", in today's business every Ayurvedic Pharma need to have a progressive and aggressive approach for effective results. Product quality is the first factor that decides demand of the product quality of product should never be interfere with. He further added, "using Ayurvedic FMCG products and medicines will bring us back to our basics, and it is something we should be proud of."
India's Healthcare market now a days is undergoing a transformation with economic growth of more than 7%. By 2020 the industry is expected to triple in size 280 billion dollar. Indian Healthcare companies are entering into merger and acquisitions with domestic and international companies to drive growth and gain new market.
Talking about the vision, Mr Aditya chhaparwal said, "in any business with iny should be clear and endless."it's a very good initiative that Ministry of Ayush has set premium standards for ayurvedic medicines. Ayurveda will soon spread its wings in production of nutraceutical industry, which means that ayurvedic Protein Shakes and protein bars will be available to consumer pretty soon." He further added, "digital marketing of any business plays a vital role in reaching your target market nowadays. Social media can be a great approach to target the youth."
Ayurveda is the heritage of India, it is the gift of our forefathers to us, it is our responsibility to make it available for residence of our country and to the whole globe, in order to cure diseases and live aHealthy lifestyle. Ayurveda is going to become the new face of medical industry.

Career in tourism: A choice of Travellers

it is commendable that a large majority in the country has begin to rethink the idea of education. Many no longer expect their children to become engineers and doctors, as it has been over decades, but are now open to a variety of careers ranging from graphic artist to forensic investigators.

Post millennial who are born between the year 1996 to 2010 in India are curious but also very cautious about choosing their careers. With a Rise in unemployment especially among engineers many are opting for offbeat jobs that are in demand.

A large number of students in the country are taking vocational courses and professional degrees with the budget friendly fee and training that in result provide well paying jobs. it is hinted that such a rise in attributed to career counseling session undertaken by schools for the past decades.

one such career option of tourism is picking up in country. More than 5 tourism brand, along with central universities have invested in Bachelors Degree program over the last year. a
Recent trend concerning tourism is very positive in the coming years as there will be more than 8 million foreign tourists travelling to India. this number will multiply when one includes people not staying in commercial accommodations. tourism students are future ambassadors of cultural India they represent the youth and a strong force of hundred million the industry is expected to generate more than 10 lakh travel and leisure startups in coming years

One of the Unrivalled benefits of being involved in tourism academic is that it requires no specifications beforehand.
travel management & hospitality is quite liberal about selection of students.
Any engineers Bachelor of Science and senior secondary pass out from any streams can be tourism professionals. the only requirement to join the industry is to be a successful communicator and negotiator.
Multilingualism in tourism industry is very important proficiency in multiple foreign languages is basic prerequisite for successful Communications in the field of tourism. Foreign language proficiency has always fostered the development of intercultural competence and it is more important for a country like India because our country is diverse in nature with multiple opportunities for tourist to see around tourist are always comfortable when you speak their own native language.
tourism and travel industry plays a significant role in the growth of the economy and development of India India is rich in Heritage and Culture as after every 100 kilometres the language changes and so does the lifestyle and tradition tourism industry in India requires no bake capital investments as we are privileged to have many historic monuments built by our ancestors we already have a set up for the business we only have to spend on its conservation and infrastructure we can generate employment and tourism from what our ancestors have left for. travel and tourism is never ending industry and it is supposed to grow up on Rapid rate in coming 5 years.

Segmentation of Cox and kings according to its Products

Market Segmentation, Targeting and Positioning are the main activities in forming a profitable Marketing strategy for a firm and in Tourism industry it is a mandatory job to form homogeneous market from a heterogenous crowd in order to upsell right product to right customer.

Travelling has become a common love now a days affected by social media more than disposable income of the individual, every age groups, gender, culture promotes and wishes to travel and intend to look more of a backpacker.
You take any of the startups, they are focusing on the same market, the adventurer type, the Traveller or backpacker type. YJHD had a serious impact on youth but unfortunately they misunderstood the basic concept of movie. It wasn't to be a Travellers but to be a big dreamer & not just to own a Dslr.
Though Elite class people also does the same but their is another category for them known as "fleshpacker" as they carry plenty of money with them in order to survive.

In tourism industry when startups are being very much similar to each other with focus mainly on the same group and demographics of people, still the big corporate Giants like Thomas cook, SOTC & Cox and kings covers the wholesome  market making specific product for particular group of Tourist.

Below are the segmentation of Cox and kings as per their product and market.

Demographic Segmentation:

It's about age, gender and family size.

For school going kids and children below 10 years of Age cox and kings operates "Curious Cat Chronicles"
The targeting place for example can be a kids play school or kids club in society.

For a group of girls and independent working women Cox and kings operates "Gateway Goddess".
To grab this particular market places like ladies kitty party Halls, girl's hostel or Girls college would be suitable.

For Senior citizen who worked hard all their lives with a dream to visit abroad at least for once, to make them accomplish their dream the product of company "Being Young" is the key.
Targeting this particular group of Tourist is easy, it can be near a temple or church or a park full of old morning joggers where they gather everyday and laugh loud calling it yoga.

For differently able people who are gifted with unique abilities and a desire to travel "Enable Travel" is there on the list which covers all the requirements of individual from wheel chair to symbol language guide.
Targeting can be best done for this is in Hospitals and Medical institutions.

Behavioural Segmentation:

This segmentation is all about the purpose, behavior and activities that a tourist prefers at the destination.
For Example: A Tourist who wants to party, have fun and go wild, Thailand is the place and if a tourist is looking for Meditation, peace and calm then kanyakumari or Vivekananda stupa is the place.

Categorising the crowd on basis of their behavioral preferences and purpose below are the products from the company:

MICE & Business Travel.
For business class people and employees.

Holidays for Two.
For honey moon couple or couple celebrating anniversary.

Instant Holiday
For weekenders who live Monday to Friday on caffeine and don't mind a little alcohol in rest of the days.

Trip-360.
For people who are Hungary for thrill. For those who seek adrenaline rush.

The targeting areas for these specific market can probably be office areas, corporate buildings and parking areas where officials and employees often come.

Psychographic Segmentation:

It's very much similar to Behavioral segmentation but it adds up culture, believes, attitudes and values at place of activities.
The tour itinerary gets changed as per psychology of the Tourist.

Gujrat pure vegetarian Group Tours.
It's both domestic and international but only for gujraties who crave gastronomy.

Aamhi Traveller: it is also for both domestic and international holidays but mainly focused in joint Maharashtra families as they can be good source of revenue.

Luxury escapes and Xperiential:
For elite class Traveller who require only God and luxurious hospitality.

Geographical segmentation:

Duniya Dekho:
For group International holiday packages.

Bharat Dekho:
For group domestic holiday packages. And personalised Indian holidays.

Flexihole:
For tailor made International holidays.

Classification of crowd into a market and designing products according to their preference in order to make them feel delightful and earn good revenue is the true meaning of market segmentation.

Keeping all points in minds about Marketing segmentation and branding, the above information provided is best up to my knowledge, kindly give your precious feedback at rohantherover@gmail.com or drop it in comments below.

The Dying Heritage Of Madhya Pradesh.

From Gwalior it takes almost an hour to reach Morena.
The accessibility is only by road and good enough if you choose the right vehicle, for obvious a five seater or a SUV (With A/C) is a smart choice.
We first reached Batesar group of temples and calling it a dying heritage is not a sin at all. Earlier, it use to be the base for local dacoits then after few agreements and surrender THE ARCHEOLOGICAL SURVAY OF INDIA retraced it as an option for alternative tourism.
The appearance of the place is numb and sounds full of secrets.
The temples are oldest construction as few have no apex on them.
Make sure that you carry enough cold water to quench your thirst, a mat to lay down, a Bluetooth speaker to enjoy Taylor Swift voice and enough calories to keep you moving on.
The most disturbing thing is to see The one die who created the universe according to Hindu dharma.
The shivlings which are there in the place looks dull and powerless because of no proper and regular worship and divine practices.
It feels energetic after you take a nap under shade of neem tree and when cold wind whispers lullabies in your ears.
Overall the place can be a good option for picnic lovers, day trippers, weekend travelers and excursionist and can be a good source of revenue generation for MP TOURISM if tickets applied.

2- Then we hooded up to Padaoli a interestingly dangerous place with a wonderful view in front of your eyes and life taking deep fall when you look down.
The place is beautiful but dangerous as well for overexcited travelers who loose their mind when see a eye catching landscape.
Structures from Ramayana and Mahabharata are matted on the ceiling that connects your soul straight up to scriptures.
Again a very beautiful place to visit but still a stone structure that generates no money for MP TOURISM.

A day out with elephants.

I do not know what made me jump out of my bed that day and went straight up to bath and decided to have dayout, around 8 o clock I left home and paved my way to NH2 , Having only 100 rupees with me I thought taking a lift would be better option than a bus and  fortunately I came across a humble truck driver, Betweennd Mathura and Agra on National highway 2 near "Sachdeva Institute of Technology and Management" a alleyway through Farah town took me to a village "shahzadpur pauri".

After walking for almost a kilometers straight I could feel my tummy roar for orange juice and omelette, but I was doing something more important and delicious than that, I was on a unknown road around strangers eyes gazing at me like if I'm a terrorist & suddenly I was offered a sugarcane by one of the boys of this village.

Local people call that place as "HAATHI VIHAAR", foreigners and domestic tourist often misunderstand it as a zoo or park, but it is actually a animal conservation center operated and run by an international NGO wildlfesos.org which basically works for conservation of animals which are victim of trafficking, rides and circus.

This place provides a safe and natural habitat to the animals as per their requirement, proper diet and exercise, proper place to play and rest, proper medical checkup, proper walks and outings as per daily schedule and a lots of things that makes them forget their past.

http://wildlifesos.org/elephant-conservation-and-care-center/

All the elephant in this place are rescued from different places of India like Mumbai, Banglore, Varanasi and Goa.

My guide for the place (available at the place) told me about the practice of "Fazaan" which means to keep a elephant hungry for a month and then beat him badly on his trunk and head so hard and bad that he gets threaten and gives away his soul to his master and become a slave to him, there after they can use this elephant as a earning engine.

The best things about that center was that they have kept a very beautiful record of each and every elephant's life story including their favorite activity, meal and name of best friends.

This was the first time I felt so much connected with such a giant animal, and I realized that just for some bucks few people torture a soul so bad that it gives away all strings and self confidence and become a slave forever and then also hardly ever gets something in return.

I have not disclosed stories of all the elephants to push you readers to visit this place and explore by your own.

I then donated 50 rupees (saved 50 for going back home) as a helping hand and yes I also gave my banana to one elephant.

After coming out of center and then crossing over that village I could manage to walk 200 steps and get myself seated to eat my lunch in a canteen by the side of Sachdeva Institute.

After the lunch way back home I ended up thanking myself for giving me another random and unforgettable experience.

History, Fluxes and Rising Accommodation Trends

History, fluxes and current scenario of Indian hotel market :

• Hospitality in India is not a new concept it has been here since Mughal period and before. What bought foreign tourist to India was the vast culture, religion and natural resources. Indian kings and Emperors welcomed all the Travelers with open arms and provided accommodation in walled rest houses called as “Musafirkhana” and “Sarai” with security and food.
• Then in late eighteenth century when Britisher took over the , travel during that time was mainly for trade, politics & administration. Britishers established “Dak bungalow” with a host to prepare the food. Cantonments, railway stations, hill stations, PWD guest houses. British officers, jailors, engineers, military and administrative personal would use those accommodations.
• For the service of Britishers  and their officers latest promoters stabilized the European style hotel like Swiss and maiden in Delhi (Present Capital), Cecil in Shimla (the queen of hills) and the Grand hotel in Calcutta, and this is known as the introduction of modern hotels in india.

• In 1903, JRD Tata established the Taj hotel in Mumbai, and started the air travel facility in India being the founder of Air India company. Britishers left behind the modern hotels, containments, guest houses, and Dak Bungalows which were later taken over by other hotels or independent businessmen. Dak bungalow in Peora is example which is now a privately owned Homestay.
• After the independence in 1947 government established ITDC - Indian Tourism Development Corporation which started to encourage the hospitality industry in India by establishing excellent hotel properties in India and specifically in those places which were untouched by private Hoteliers. ITDC also promoted independent Hoteliers who offered Hotel service for every budget. With the new government came the new roads and Highways and Railways were already a gift from Britishers and these two factors increase the number of domestic tourist.
• After years of independence in 1947 while developing as a new economy on a global level travel and Hospitality have witnessed huge proportions in India. Travelling for business, , military and religion has  by time and travelers who seek culture and historical purposes come to India every year in big numbers.

• Now here in 21st century if we go all over again on Indian hotel market we see not only accommodation types but tourist have switched their taste to boat houses, Resorts, tree houses, homestays, hostels, floatels, camps and tents. The percentage of tourist has increased but the proportion of tourist staying in a hotel have witnessed a little downfall. The taste of guest and interest of tourist keeps changing by respect of time. budget travelers solo tourist adventurers trekkers photographers wanderers choose other means of accommodation over Hotel as it is comparatively cheap.
• But a downfall is just the downfall and a matter of time, to cope up with the situation  hotels have you started to offer negotiated rates which means good quality of generousity friendliness and Hospitality is not a matter of gold coins in India.

Indian Hotel Market: Evolution and Growth

               Current Scenario of IHM

India being a highly diversified county attracts a huge no. of tourist that generates a markable revenue for Indian hotel market every year & hospitality service industry has risen as a major contributor to the economy by providing employment, training, good foreign customer relations and as a profitable earning engine in the recent years.

Indian hotels are also a significant source of foreign exchange for the country and also a image building factor for the nation by providing same level of cultural hospitality and recently India moved up to 13 position from 52nd rank from 65th in Travel and Tourism competitive index.
Restaurant and Hotels jointly offered 12.51 million jobs to its countryman which ultimately increase the disposable income of the residents and their families.
The current scenario of Indian hotel market is constantly growing and has expanded in recent years which implies that upcoming years can be the peak of Indian hotel market.
In some regions like 'Varanasi' and 'katra' hotels are being overbooked even in lean season which is a proof than hospitality service industry will definitely expand in future.

FORECASTS FOR THE UPCOMING YEARS:

India is expected to move up five spots to be ranked among the top five business travel market globally by 2030 which is sign of Fortune for the investors.
International hotel chains are also likely to expand their business in India and are likely to account 50% in Indian hospitality market from the current of 44 percent.

Yoga And Tourism : An overview

Yoga and Tourism : An overview

21st century is the scenario of sharp and quick minds & this bizarre part of our body works as a machine but being a formation of muscles and cells it gets tired.
Chasing Targets, completing projects, meeting clients, attending seminars and board meetings, sticking with office hours, being totally dependent on our files and devices and barely even taking a minute or two out looking for solitude.
We all feel the need of a break & wait for the the weekend from the Monday evening at office or plan a one week vacation with friends & collegues at some hill stations or beach to get ourselves at rest as travelling has always been a medicine to the soul, and it's a kind of medicine that everyone can take without being actually sick.
in addition to make that vacation more meaningful and quite healthier people came up with idea of performing yoga and asanas in order to achieve more energy, awakening and peace as yoga is best lifestyle for the beautification of mind body and soul.

what is yoga in simple words ?

To start our day and perform certain functions of daily life we all need to awake ourselves and get off the bed, in the very same to start "living" the life in a right way we need to unveil our Inner self and awake the soul inside us to perform for the ultimate aim of life.

            Yoga and Wellness in India:

While in western countries people think of yoga as an efficient way to lose fat and get good respiratory system, In India it goes beyond that because yoga is actually more than what Americans and Europeans think of it. Instead of a exercise it is a lifestyle in India from the ancient times. Mountain caves in Heart of Himalayas, Rishikesh and Varanasi, Mysore and Pune and places like kovalam are the proof that this lifestyle of physical, psychological and Spiritual activities was discovered years back in order to polish up body, mind and soul  respectively.
Even now at the time of "Kumbh Mela" when places Nasik, Haridwar and Allahabad encounters a huge no. of yogis from different 'Akhadas'.
Yogis remain one of the most sensational attraction for Mass Tourist.

How Tourism & yoga came together ?

American students westerners who wanted to seek wisdom through spiritual and meditation practices flied to India and joined yoga schools in places like kovalam and Rishikesh.
They come for learning yoga and spend most of their times shopping and wandering after the session. Mahashivratri in Mathura.

In last few years Lord Shiva of Hindu mythology has become most worshipped and most googled god by the youth across the nation and globally.
Lord Shiva tattoos, Rudraksh Garlands and even the Shiva printed t-shirts are in trend.
Though the renowned temples of lord Shiva are Rameshwaram in south, Kedarnath and Amarnath in North, Somnath in west and Mahakaleshwar in Ujjain - central india attracts a big number of domestic pilgrimage tourist but still the temples of lord Shiva are spread all over the country.
The birth place of lord Krishna "MATHURA" locally known as "BRIJ" also tells the stories of SHIVA from Dwapar Yuga (ancient Indian scenerio).
There are 4 temples each situated at a corner of city and this is how lord Shiva temples cover the city from borders.
They are as BHUTESHWAR in North, RANGESHWAR in South, Galteshwar in East and CHINTAHARAN MAHADEV in west.
Local people believe that lord Shiva came to Mathura to see the newly born baby "Krishna" that time he decided to watch over the city from the borders prohibiting negative energies from getting in and that is why the festival of MAHASHIVRATRI is celebrated in Mathura with fanfare.
The main attraction of the city on MAHASHIVARATRI  is the "SHIV BAARAT", the procession of lord Shiva who is father, controller and care taker of all ghosts and spirits.
Devotees decorate their bodies and put on scary costumes and masks that scares the audience and people watching the procession from their terrace.
The procession goes through narrow roads with loud music playing songs of devotion to Shiva and it covers almost 3 km of city walk.
People throw flowers, petals, colours and holy water from terrace, shopkeepers distribute Thandaai (with mixed Bhang) as sacrament.
Once if you drop down in mathura at the time of MAHASHIVARATRI , you need not to worry about your food and meals, local people distribute free meals to every pilgrim and travellers, this distribution of meals as sacrament is known as "BHANDARA" in Hindi language.
Its a kind of good deed to food up the Hungary aching stomachs of domestic pilgrims and low budget tourist.
Local people aslo intake a little amount of cannabis that is also available in different varieties and flavours at the time of MAHASHIVARATRI.
As per the mass tourism concern the police and administration watches over very carefully, every temple is under surveillance of at least 40-50 cops.
Even though their shift changes after 12 hours but the number remains the same.
It with praising that U.P. POLICE does not leaves a single patch in case of public safety and security.
So my personal experience says that Mathura is a place worth visiting even at the time of MAHASHIVARATRI when there is off tourism season, still all the local people, culture and rituals and the administration serves you well from their hearts and gives you thrilling, adventures, party friendly and worth remembering experience.

Visit to vantage.

Located at the heart of Gwalior and under the umbrella of Achleshwar Mahadev @SDM Road "VICTORIAN VANTAGE" restaurant and lounge serves you the delicious meals with a selfie friendly interior.
The roof top restaurant has both styles of Dining.  open terrace Italian wood table and chair and American style couch and table under low light interior.
Along with the starters and gulp in dishes restaurant also consists one plus corners best for sheesha (hukkah).
At the center of restaurant a round wooden staircase down to the lounge have given the Vantage a Du-Plex look over that reminds of Dumbledore's office in Harry potter fiction series.
Interior of the lounge is attractive and selfie friendly as well, but i would personally advice you to grab your digicam if you are looking for memorable portrait shots.

Moving on to the meals, so as Indian starter "Dahi k Sholey" and for continental crispy onion rings with "Macho Nacho" are the first preferences of the chief chef.
After the starters in non veg "Mutton Rogan josh" and for vegetarians "Paneer Labaabdar" are the best out of the box.

For foodies and snackies vantage's kitchen have a 6" 7 - Dia big burger (I would personally name it Giant Crisps.) along with southwest salsa and all american burgers.

And after the restaurant its time for the Vantage's special and Bond 007 mocktail.
(The bartenders are handsome though.)

So, if you are missing home made food or if you are missing yourself after being bored of same old mess food, Victorian Vantage is the place where your tongue will find back all original tastes.
